A problem burning Swap Magic 3.6 on Nero to DVD

I dl the swap magic 3.6 DVD but it has all these files in it and i am confused what to burn in order for it to work on my PS2. (And also theirs an ELF file)
(as u see here in pics)



i've been able to stop my flip top PS2 from resetting, so all i need is help with this burning issue.

Yeah creaky is spot on there. If you downloaded swapmagic so that you can play backups of games it wont work because your playstation2 needs an original sony platform disk to be inserted. If you didnt know, people upload swapmagic because you can then run the latest swapmagic version. So you would e.g. run swapmagic 3.0 dvd in the ps2 and then swapmagic with 3.6 version. This means more compatibility with games etc.

I want to boot 3.6 from my 3.3 SM.
But how do I burn the elf or iso file successfully?

To do a TOC refresh read here.
Just burn it with imgburn. Its free and the successor of DVD Decrypter.
You can also just run the elf from mc using the exploit or uLaunchelf and the usb drive.
But you will still need to do the TOC refresh.

What I would like to know, just for personal curiosity sake, how is it that Swap magic itself can be ripped so it can be put online?

The only way I think this could be even done is if one of the distributors or the makers made a copy and put it online , rather than someone trying to rip a copy from the silver pressed disc (which is impossible by the way due to the way its burnt).

The elf file has always been available online from the makers. Its right in their manual. Comes in a file called SMBOOT so that one is able to burn it to CD, run it with SM disc to install it to memory card if they so choose. From there its not hard to take the elf, and either compress or uncompress it and burn it to DVD.
The thing is its only good to people with an older SM, or using the memory exploit to run it, plus always having to do the TOC refresh.
