Here are a few tips that may help you out getting you console back in working condition...

1. When you call ask/demand to speak with a supervisor
2. Explain your problem with much detail and stress you frustration with you console (I have found they work harder to get you a console that will work)
3. Ask to have a specialized agent with there direct number to take over your case (This way you will speak with the same person every time and it cuts down the hold time)
4. Be persistent about calling to check the status (I have found this often speeds up the process, I dont know why)

I just thought these tips may help you... I have experienced all of the above because I am on my 10th refurbished console!

I used their web site to repair a rrod unit I bought off eBay.

8/10 - I submitted repair request online
8/10 - I received email acknowledging request
8/10 - I received UPS tracking number for return box
8/16 - I received return box
8/16 - I shipped 360
8/22 - I received email confirming repair center received it

And I can track the repair and shipping on Xbox.com. It's alot easier than talking to an Indian on the phone.

hopefully that works for you... I my case that wouldnt have worked out because I have some many console serial numbers and so many ref # and half the time I need to give the person I am talking to my 3 year contract policy number because they hadnt transfered it over to the new serial number
