PS2 slim problems. Pls Advise

hi, i jus bought a modified PS2 slim, and noticed a frustrating problem. The discs are hard to secure properly in it, and everytime i place a disc in & close the lid, the disc spins & rubs against the base with a horrible sound, & fails to read it.

Only aft many tries of clicking the disc in and out of the centre circular disk cache,then do i sometimes get to play. but wasted a hell long time. I am also afraid this will wear off the circular cache. To my experiment, Original games dun hav such problems on it.

Can someone pls advise any gd methods to secure pirated disc properly? :(
