I am looking to play my backup copies of ps2 games. i have a Fat ps2, version 5 or 6. the model # is SCPH-30001 . I have direct access to the my cd drive, the lid is off. similar to the flip top i guess.

now my question is whats the best way to go about loading my backup games. Should i buy Action replay or Gameshark? which version is the best?

not looking to add hard drives or anything to crazy. just basically want my guitar hero 2 backup to work, and maybe another game or 2.

i reccomend neither because for the same price you can get the swap magic set and since you have direct access you dont need anything else and if you just get the swap cds it'll cost you around 20-25 dollars and AR or GS2 will cost near 30-40 and with swap magic you can play both PS2 CD games and PS2 DVD games

well thats up to what you like...if you want to cheat o your back up copies of ps2 games then get 3.8 and if you just want to play and enjoy them get 3.6
