I have a broken x-box that I just got The dvd drive is seriously messed up it is Hitatchi drive It looks like the guy who had it befor eme got it overheated or overheated it trying to fix it it won't open or read. I also have a brand new replacement drive it is the Samsung/Toshiba XBOX drive.

I am not sure if I am going to find the time to figure out how to get the new one to work I didn't realize the drives had certain codes to make them work.

I am at work right now so I am not sure wich model 360 I have I can find out soon though. I also don't have a hard drive for the 360 yet. Do I need one?


Can this be workedt and get my 360 up an running? wether its just a fix or modded let me know what I can do

you need to get the drive key, not 100% sure how to do this with hitachi but youl need to put it in mode b, thats for sure. i dont know how easy tahts going to be though. you could give the slax disc a try

This is the first time opening the 360 myself I know what everything inside is ( I can identify everything) But I need to find tutorials on how to everything I don't even know what the slax disc method is
