I watch the HD movies, and are great. I just want to burn a HD or Blu-ray to a regular DVDR. I know its not going to be burned in hD, but just to watch it at a later date. Once I see it in HD, I am cool.

I presume the discs won't play in my computer. So has anyone tried to copy from a HD player to a regular DVD recorder using like Sima video enhancer etc?

Any help would be helpful, before I plunk 200$ on a sima, and it doesn't work. Or anyone heard of Star Development? They have a video stabilzer for HD TV?\

Thanks

why go to all the trouble Rent it in Blu-Ray and then buy the dvd !!!! Many of the DVD's now on the market are mastered in HD ! and No it does'nt make them Blu-ray or HD movies But you should get the maximum Fidelity out of the Current dvd format wit those Movies !!!!

I only have one HD player, and two homes.(A small cabin) So if I bought a HD disc, I wanted to make a copy in regular dvd format to watch up there in a regular machine. There is so much difference between a hd disc and a regular disc. So from now on, I am buying only HD discs, but if I wanted to watch it in my cabin or another room that does not have a HD player. I could:)

Some of the HD DVD's are dual format. The HD version is on one side of the disc and the regular DVD version is on the other side. You could just buy an HD DVD and burn the DVD side to a DVD-R and take that to your cabin. Of course this doesn't apply to ALL HD DVD's, just some.
