I recently screwed up my Swap magic DVD and slim tools. I know there are ways around the tools, I used the tape and tissue method but as I suspected the swap magic CD I have left only runs playstation games. Is there a way to burn an swap magic DVD copy to a CD or Memory stick so I can play PS2 games again? Thanks!!!
There is no way to make copies of Swap Magic Discs and run them.
But there is an elf you can run as long as you have Swap Magic CD.
Some people run the elf file off of the mc or a usb flash drive.
But it does require switching discs, then running a TOC refresh, and swapping back.
This thread here may help you out.

I downloaded SWP3.8 PAL that was supreme idiocy though I forgot I have a NTSC. Here's what I do I place the 3.6 disc first then I swap it for my 3.8 CD. The disc boots i can see the screen perfectly but when I try to boot a DVD It just flicks the screen, goes to the memcard screen and then to the red "insert disc". I also tried to make it boot from my USB HDD(took the plain DVD files placed them in a folder swapmagic and renamed the Sces_500.03 to swapmagic.elf) but it doesn't boot, the HDD light sparkles but it flicks the screen and its back to the memcard screen.Im'm really frustrated help!
Basically to make the SM 3.8 elf work is a 2 swap process, and you will need an original PS2 game with a fairly large TOC, something like GTA San andreas etc.
Once you have the SM 3.8 elf loaded up on the screen here is the process.
2. launch SM-3.8.elf
3.Open the disc door and remove Magic Switch ?Tool A?, replace CODER disc with larger TOC size disc, then reinstall Magic Switch ?Tool A? *(Caution: the disc will start spinning once the ?Tool A? has been reinstalled). When the TOC refreshing is finished, the disc will stop spinning and a scrolling text will tell you to swap your own program.
4.Swap the discs with your Backup/Import or Homebrew program and press X to run the program.
To launch the Swap Magic elf from your hard drive, just download the elf itself not the one from the DVD and rename it, make sure to rename it all caps SWAPMAGIC.ELF or SMBOOT0.ELF, depending upon what you want to call it. If you change it to the SMBOOT0.ELF then just load up your Swap Magic 3.6 first, then turn on Usb hard drive, then select SMBOOT and select the appropriate button.
