Help with uLaunchELF

Ok so I've been trying to burn ulaunchelf, wasted a bunch of CD-Rs already and nothing... Swap Magic keeps saying "not a valid PS2 disc". I've been searching like crazy for the EXACT way to burn it but they have all failed. All i've been trying to do is to run UlaunchElf through a CD-R, then locate my external HDD and to: run SMS or any other media player to play videos, and play Snes station but all of this has seemed like a pain in the ass to do. Ok, i've read about snes station not being able to run roms through HDD but what if the roms are all in the same directory? Anyways, first things first. I still can't even find a way to make uLaunchElf work. So I resort to you guys who are experts on this matter to help me find a way to burn the damn iso.
I've put all the files: system.cnf, boot.elf, launchelf.cnf into one whole iso file, then tried to burn it with Nero, magiciso, AND alcohol 120% and to no avail.
