Okay, so I'm currently downloading the Super Smash Bros Melee.GCM.

After I've done that, I plan on converting it to an .iso and burning it with Nero.

Would I be able to play this on my Wii without getting my Wii chipped?

If not, is there an alternative to get this to work on my Wii without actually having to go and physically get it chipped?

Thanks in advance. :D

P.S. I already have a GC controller.

Yeah. Pro-ness ftw.

Anybody?

I know it hasn't been long, but I REALLY desperately need an answer to this ASAP.

I've done some research but can't find a specific answer anywhere.

HOLY.

Is it just me, or is this forum seriously dead/inactive?

I mean, still not a single reply? :(

Think about it... If we could play copied games without a modchip why would we install modchips...

Think logically.. & If you want the GC game so much, Purchase it for $10!

@HoZy:
Yeha but I thought maybe was different for playing GC games on a Wii instead of Wii games on a Wii. And I've called every possible video game store anywhere near where I live. None of them even stock GameCube games, yet alone the ones I'm looking for.

so in gro0003's defence I will have to say many have asked this question before
As to why we buy modchips? I ask you the same question when it comes to PSX, PS2, XBOX, PSP ect. To gro0003 there are what they call Softmods out there if this is what you are refering to, as for the Wii there is not for running back-ups. As for Emulators yes you will have to investigate that more I never did it.
The last thing I just wanted to mention is when you start a topic off by stating you downloaded a game and want to burn it your going to get allot of bad reactions from people who do the same thing god knows why but it's the same no matter where you post I just suggest for better replies maybe stating something like "I would like to Back up my copy of Smash Bros and play it on my wii" as everyone else does and funny enough you will get more helpful replies.
