I have been away for a while, I have been searching for hours on a new way to load new games which require the latest firmware to run. I can't boot this game because my DevHook only has FW up to 2.71. Has something replaced DevHook(nobody talks about it) or how can I get the latest firmwares, I have a FW1.5 PSP
looks like you missed alot. now there's custom firmware... like OE( disbaned...sorta) M33 Wildcard, etc... and you need to flash to them again. u can get 3.52 M33 HERE.... u need the 1.50 and 3.52 eboot.pbp (updates) too. or you can look for the new devhook which can emulate up to 3.11, but trust me bro, custom firmware is alot easier.
theres a recovery pack if you want to but the new fws are really packed tho, you wouldnt want to unless you semi brick... and the readme....google... those are good guides...youtube also hasa a very good one and it has on screen instructions too....so u wunt really have a chance of mixing something up. if u cant find anything like that (impossible :P ) then report back here and id be glad to help.
If you say you will have a hard time to remove it, I will stick with 1.5 as it is trustworthy and I believe Booster will release a new version soon that supports 3.55 firmware, cause thats all I want.
i wouldnt call it a hard time bro, you download the file paste in the game folder and then recover it isnt difficult and trust me on this one, custom firmware is alot more simpler to use, you dont have to load anything like with devhook all your iso's will appear under the game folder, you can change xmb easy and there is a very simple to use and helpful recovery menu....but its still your choice...it just makes life simpler.
Hey guys, i'm upgrading my PSP from 1.5 to 3.40OE-A as i write this, but do you guys know any places i can get the recovery pack i need. i've searched all over and i can only find forum links, no actual downloads. Any help would be nice but if you can't then nevermind.
