I was recently trying to play multiplayer on grand theft auto Liberty city stories.

I have two psp's (one my brothers) and their both on 3.52 M33-3 and i couldnt get it to work. One would load too fast and then knock the other out.

So i changed the CPU speeds on both of them one faster and one slower and it still didnt work. i thought then it was becasue it was the same iso image i was using but i have played fifa street two player using the same iso no prob

Any one got any ideas?

well, normally if u put the speed to "default" (in both PSP's)it works

"It all began with...Birth be Sleep"

Thanks to: Team M-33, , Wildcard, Adrahil, Booster, Cswindle, Dark_AleX, Ditlew, Fanjita, Joek2100, Jim, Mathieulh, Nem, Psp250, Skylark, TyRaNiD. ;):)
Thank you for making everyone able to run homebrew, the real reason to buy a PSP.THANK YOU! :):):)

In theory, as long as both PSP systems are running the same file at equal speeds it should work. I tried to connect to a friends. We both had 3.40 OE-A, both set at 333MHz, however, he had a real UMD, while I was running a CSO file of the same game. The read speed of a CSO is faster than that of a UMD drive, but that was the only unmatched factor. Never tried it with exact specs on 333MHz.

There is no excuse NOT to mod! Don't follow the rules, make them!

btw, i know this is a little bit off topic, but...can u tell whats the best memory card to play games that require fast reading(like gta)

SanDisk makes great Memory Stick Pro Duo. If it's read/write speed you want, they now offer a higher end memory stick. I believe the max is 32GB, but 4GB will cost $200+ or 2GB at $110+, but you get what you pay for. You can put CSO/ISO files onto it almost 4 times faster. The PSP can read these games at up to 3x faster (if you're using USB 2.0, a computer will ALWAYS be faster than a PSP in terms of read/write). Then if you compare that to a standard SanDisk 2GB, it would cost $35+ but with reduced speeds. I have one of each, compared:
standard SanDisk 2GB:
1.6GB data from computer to PSP ~60-70seconds
M.A.C.H. game load speed ~5-7seconds
Sandisk 4GB Memory Stick Pro-HG:
1.6GB data from computer to PSP ~15-20 seconds
M.A.C.H game load speed ~0-2 seconds

You get what you pay for.

There is no excuse NOT to mod! Don't follow the rules, make them!

hmm it seems that a standard sandisk 2gb is a lot faster then a Memory Stick Pro Duo 2gb(i have this one and i don't like it), i'm i correct?

Hi, I have the exact same problem as you! Except I'm still using devhook 2.71 and that my friend's psp who I play aginst is not using custom firmware and is using the original umd(even though I ripped it from his) Does your psp disconnect straight away when you host a game instead of joing one? I've tried taking out my disc just before it loads, to slow it down but when I put it back in, it still disconnects. Anyway, let me know how you get on and lets see if we can figure out this problem together.

You cant play GTA LCS multiplayer using iso's you have to use two original umd's. Case closed.... (damn it!)

So it won't work, even if I turn my cpu speed slower than the other psp?
