Hey all,

I apologize if this is somewhere else, but I haven't been able to find out how to do this here or anywhere on the intrawebs. The guide here says to eject the disc, but this is obviously fat PS2 functionality. How do I refresh the TOC on a slim PS2? I don't see an option in the swap magic menu, nor can I eject anything.

Thanks

It depends how you have the sensors covered.

Are you using tools? or did you cover the sensors with tape?

If your using the tools, when its time to do the refresh, the tool at the top left of the ps2 right next the door hing thing, you need to pull that up a little bit, the screen shouhld say put new disc in etc, put it in, then push that tool back down. I think it runs then stops again, then just swap it with your backup.

Again this is only if your using the same tools (Swap tool pro) as me or similar :)

Hi, I have it kind of jury-rigged. The back sensor is taped down, so is the front one. But I could rig the front one so i could life it up at will. So I do that, use an original DL game (Like god of war) to refresh the TOC, then I can boot my DL backup?

I just noticed I spelt it Swamp magic, haha. I'll see if I can edit that.

thanks

hmmmm you cant use swap magic to boot dual layered backups.
I think the only way is using a modchip?

With swap magic you have to rebuild the game to fit to dvd-5.

Ahh okay. Sorry, I should have mentioned it was a DL game to begin with.

If I can figure out how to remove the CGI cutscenes, I might be able to fit it on a DVD5. I'll give that a try.

As soon as I put the tool back in, it says insert ps2 disc or something like that. It doesn't refresh.
