is there a way to get wireless internet on the xbox 360 without paying the 100 + for the adaptor?

my system is not hacked. and i dont plan to.

No, i don't think so. You can spend a little less by buying a cheaper xbox compatible wireless adapter and skipping the "official" one. But depending on how far the unit is from the router you really do need a pretty good one or your going to experience a game lock up every now and then when playing online.

my room is about 30 ft away. but if the difference is only like 15 bucks then i might aswell get the oficial one

I got the MS Wireless Adapter for $57 on ebay,the thing works great :D Check their and you might find a good deal
