Hi - I'm running 3.02 oe-c and i'm trying to get some ISOs to work. most of the working ISOs I have are .iso or .cso (and not RAR files)
I have some RARs that contain multiple RARs. Opening one of them gives me a .iso which is archived as a RAR file and when I open it, it contains a PSP_GAME folder and "UMD_DATA_BIN.bin"
Inside the PSP_GAME folder are BOOT.BIN, EBOOT.BIN and some other files.
How do I place these files on my PSP or how do I convert them to a file my PSP can read?
Thanks so much in advance.
~Jesse

That's your ISO right there, place that file on your PSP and it will run it.
PSP, all the way from 1.00 to 5.50 GEN D2 - DS Lite w/ M3DS Real (M3 Sakura v1.34)
PS3 3.01 - iPod Touch 2G 16GB Jailbroken - Xbox 360 60GB - PC, Q6600, 3GB DDR2, GTX260 (216) 896MB

See, that's what I thought too. I loaded that ISO file from a few different games into my ISO folder and the game showed up on my memory card, however it wouldn't start correctly. NO-UMD mode disabled, UMD in drive, etc.
Any other thoughts?
Thanks

Hmmm, ok, so the games that aren't as multiple .rar files work, but the others don't?

pretty much. I never really had a problem before playing ISOs, but they're actually .iso files and not RAR files with a .iso extension.
I'm thinking I need some program to convert all the files into the usable ISO, though I'm not sure...

They only show as rar files as winRAR recognises them as openable files.
But, as they don't run, i suggest you open them and take out the PSP_GAME and UMD_DATA_BIN folders, then reform them into an iso again with UMDgen, you should be able to find it on google.

what games don't work, because i'm guessing they require firmware higher then 3.02 so your going to have to upgrade your CFW to either 3.40 OE-A or 3.52M33 (:[)

hmm.. good point. These are newer games. Dungeons and Dragons tactics, socom 2.. Can you point me to a good resource for upgrading from 3.02oe-c to 3.52M33 ( hear this is the latest greatest, though I haven't figured out why.. I guess this would be a good reason )
Thanks

Here you can find the 3.52 M33 update files.
You will also need the 1.50 EBOOT and 3.52 EBOOT files. You can get these here and here.
Ignore the instructions on the Sony website, just get the file from "Download procedure" step 3.
You will have to extract the 1.50 EBOOT file, but the 3.52 file is already extracted. Name the 1.50 EBOOT to 150.PBP and the 3.52 EBOOT to 352.PBP.
Now take the M33CREATOR folder and place it on your PSP at this location: ms0:/PSP/GAME150/
Now place both the 150.PBP and 352.PBP files into the M33CREATOR folder on your PSP.
You can now disconnect your PSP from your computer and run the update after it has finished it will have created another icon on your PSP, run this, after it has finished you will have firmware 3.52 M33.
Make sure your battery charge is above 75% and/or has a charger plugged in before you do the update.
Hope i explain well lol :)
