Alright, so tonight I took the terrifying plunge into downgrading my psp from 3.50 to 1.50, thus entering the homebrew community.

Of course, like any new rookies, I have several questions, and rather then knitpicking and piecing together random messageboards, I'd rather just ask you all outright and get clarity or at least links.

My questions are (I'm going to get hellfire for this..)

1.) Should I upgrade to 3.40oe? I heard his beta after this has some bugs, and I'm not down for that, I like what solidly works.

2.) I used lumines to downgrade, but now I cant play it because it causes my psp to reboot, is this playable at all now?

3.) Due to Dark Alex removing his website, I am left in the dark as to how to use homebrew.. Is there a guide to this, or could someone possibly explain the basics of using 3.40oea?

4.) Is this program devhook needed to run homebrew with 3.40oea?

5.) For any reason if need be, can I downgrade my psp from 3.40oea backto 1.50?

hi you can upgrade to 3.40OE-A or 3.53m33-4 lumines will play on custom firmware go to www.psp-hacks.com for the guide to update devhook is not needed when running custom firmware and yes u can go back to 1.50 on all custom firmware

Thanks, after tinkering for a few ours I'm starting to find out more and run some roms myself.




is there anything special i need to do when I make ISO's of my psx games using alcohol 120%, or can I just drop them into the iso folder and play them?
