Can I go online with 'Xtreme firmware 5.0A' if my games have full security?

My 360 is flashed with 'Xtreme firmware 5.0A'. If my DVD games have full security can I play online or will I be banned?

Do you have to be playing a backup game to get banned or can you get caught by just using your Xbox Marketplace/ menu screen online?

Good question. I don't think I've been banned yet... I'm on marketplace all the time... is the ban just for gold only?

Anyone can be banned. It's believe by the experts that 1st round of bannings were based on backups not being detected that didn't have the proper stealth files in conjunction with being played on true stealth firmware. 5.0x is stealth, but it's lacking extra safeguards in newer firmware that MS may use in bannings in the future. If you have a Samsung drive ixtreme 1.2c is the best firwmare to have if you want to use Live.

im waiting a few weeks to see if there's a delayed ban like last time, not worth the chance for me, and i dont plan on upgrading

about a week after the halo beta was opened thousands of people started getting banned. Seemed to have something to do with crackdown backups.
