The best way to flash your Hitachi if it is compatible. It's how I flashed mine.

The current X360USB only supports the Hitachi-LG GDR-3120L and does not work with Toshiba-Samsung, Phillips or BenQ drives. The new Hitachi drives with rom versions 78FK or 79FK are also not supported, because of an incompatibility between the X360USB converter.
