ordered in a chame./w adapter....and thats it....i have evox flashed on...as wel as the cromwell linux....now....wouldnt it be cool to have the ability to run an OS like redhat linux or drapes....a more simple OS that is for the most part compatible with windows and some apps. running off the xbox's available memorie....anyone wanna discuss this....come on rustydog i know ya wanna...you got aim?
i have some really small simple OS' to test with...just need an idea on how to get the bios to automatically or on cammand run the OS' the only problem i can think of is 'what disk OS is the hard drive format that is in the xbox...fat32 fat16 .etc"
and what if i took the xbox HD and plugged it into my comp...and reformatted the hardrive for fat32 and put windows on it still on my pc...as though it were a pc hardrive...and then took my BIOS from my pc...and put it on the chame. chip...and set that bios up to run windows... and then got drivers to run video cards sound and decoders...and the rom....(i know no such drivers exist, but its possible to make them) and then put the hardrive back into the xbox...and ran it....wouldnt it work? possibly? and then use windows to connect to the net get what files i need and whatever....but through all this being set up and working...would i be able to deactivate the chip and run xbox... or get a bios to run xbox....and petition the hardrive to be able to have those required files for the xbox on the 2nd partition...and still ultimatly run the xbox off of the original dashboard...or premade dash's by you guys out there...and all the 3rd party bios'....yeah....i got a lot of ideas...and i still have 3-6 business days before i get the chameleon..;) and after writeing all this i realized it be easier to made an emulator and run xbox games through windows on my PC...but still all that stuff would be cool.
