Wii Game burn problem

Hi guys,

I recently burnt the game Call of Duty 3 NTSC. My Wii has a wiikey installed and the game was an ISO. I burnt it onto a DVD-R at 1x. All went well. When i put the game into my wii it come up in the disc channel. I can go into the channel and am greeted with the Call of duty 3 screen. but when i click start, the wii freezes and im left with a blank screen.

Is there something wrong with my burn or is the iso file bad?

Is your Wii a PAL Wii? If so that game isn't region compatible with Wiikey.

If you have an NTSC(U) Wii then try burning it at 4x instead of 1x and try using different media.

yeah my wii is pal. I thought that was the point of wiikey. to be able to play ntsc games? can i do anything to make it playable? Thanks Heaps

Yeah download the PAL version of Call of Duty 3.

Because that's the way it is. Some are region compatible and some are not.

Here is a region compatibility list.

Since you have a PAL Wii look for the game title under NTSC(U) to PAL or NTSC(J) to PAL to see if the Import games is compatible.

Since your playing Imported backups on your Wii make sure you read this GUIDE on how to protect from a region brick.

thanks very much for your help. i managed to get a pal version of the game but about 5 minutes into gameplay i get a disc error for no reason.

is this a common problem to have with backups?

With some media it is.

Try different media use CloneCD or ImgBurn to burn at 4x.
