I just ordered (2) 25 disc spindles of Memorex 4x DVD-R media from Amazon.com. They are $29/spindle with free shipping. Since I don't use a PC (just a Dual G5), does anyone know who makes these discs and how their quality is? Also, are DVD info programs available for Macs?

memorex quality is good...i just bought those from Amazon as well..great price for brand name media.

I'm a newbie but I've gone through about a half dozen of the Memorex DVD+R 4X media without a coaster yet. Just been burning at 2.4X for safety purposes though. So far so good. (Knocking on wood)

Memorex isn't very good, IMO. I especially wouldn't recommend Memorex if you are making PS2 backups. I've had several problems with audio skipping when using memorex +r and -r. I've used other brands like TDK, Fuji, Verbatim and even Imation and never had this issue with any of those brands.
