Broken wii dvd drive, need replacement

About 6 months ago my friend (not his fault) broke my wii. He followed the instructions carefully and i wouldnt have let him do it if i didnt think he knew what he was doing. Basically, the cyclowiz chip was fitted onto the dvd drive and when we started it up, the discs werent recognised and after 10 min or so the dvd drive started emitting smoke and there was a burn on the firmware chip.
Anyone know where i can geta replacement dvd drive for the wii or when they will be availabe??

no replacement drives unless you can find one on ebay.

Sounds to me like your friend didn't know what he was doing

Well he followed the instructions and hes been chipping consoles since the playstation first came out. Trust me, he does know what hes doing. I watched him do it and i checked if he'd done it properly before we started the system up. So your saying that there will never, ever be a replacement dvd drive unless theres one on ebay? So why can you get xbox dvd drives now then?

do you know if i switch the dvd driver between two diferentes motherboards can they both work? is any compatibility problem??

because i have a nintendo wii that allways freeze so i took off the dvd drive and turn it on.. and it froze so i think thats a motherboard (where the processor is)problem.. so im going to buy a new nintendo, switch the cd drive and claim for the warraty of 6 month of this store.. they cant know that i opened it because they had already opened it isntallig wiikeychip.. do you know if this can work??? abaout switching
