Xeno top gear flashing help

I want to purchase the Xeno top gear to flash my xbox 360. Will this accommodate both the Samsung and Hitachi/LG drives? Can someone feed me a tut here on how to flash using this?(perferably not from u tube). I understand the xeno top gear comes with a simple installation instruction but not with flashing instruction, which leads me to start this thread. Many thx in advance!
one more question, I only have a laptop. What external sata card is suitable for laptop and where to buy?
