I dont think youll see much of a diffrence.. ivgot a plasma tv that supports both 1080p and 1080i but i dont see ANY diffrenece atall grafics wise..
I dont think its worth bying another tv for such a small difference.. Only thing id recomend about bying a new one is bying at least a 40 inch screen.. you can really see the grafics perfect o.0 ... omg im off to my PS3... lol

Dude what are you telling this guy???
The whole world will collapse with advice like that!
That little extra is worth having for that extra 15% enjoyment in playing the games.
PLUS:
1. It keeps sony bravia r&d going
2. Keeps shops going.
3. Keeps people in jobs in the shop, the delivery company, the packaging company, the advertising company
If everyone had the same attitude as you then hell will happen. There will be a global depression and hence no more games for ps3 will be developed.
I want to be close to you like heat is to fire.
Like smell is to sh*t

man i tested my ps3 on both screens suporting 1080p and 1080i and i havened seen ANY difference AT ALL !!!... our tv is philips 42 inch screen.. it could be because of the high quality you get from such good companies that can easily reach 1080p ... I know what im tallking about man.. Did you try plugging in the ps3 on both 1080p and 1080i suporting screens?

I was told that the average human eye cant see any difference from 1080i to 1080p on a tv less than 50 inches.

Im just confused lol it seams there is no different in 1080i and 1080p, but when i run my PS3 at 720p i dont see any different between that and 1080i playing games or watching Blu Ray films
The screen looks exactly the same size no difference in size or quality, but when you run the PS3 on 520p its looks bloody terrible lol

lol.. If you allready have a HDTV i dont think its worth changing it.. seriously, if you go give 600+ pounds to get that small difference i think it will be a waste of money... The only reason i would give that kind of money is for getting a much bigger screen... How many inchess is your screen ?

With 37" there won't be much difference. As zero said, it really only matters with larger televisions. It's just like pictures, on a small 8x6, there isn't any difference between a 6 mega pixel camera and a 10 mega pixel camera, but if you blow the same picture up to 48x24, there will be a massive difference in quality.
The 37" was also a good choice, it's about the most stable screen size that companies can constantly release well, anything higher has a much greater chance of breaking.
