Do i hav to full format my iPod HDD to use it with my PS2?; cause i have files and other stuff on my iPod.

For what purpose do you intend to use it?
You need a USB storage device with FAT,FAT 32 file system to work with PS2.(Launchelf,SMS). Dont expect to see a USB icon browser screen.
