I know how to merge two movie files, I have done it with Gangs of New York and Goldmember; but I have The Two Towers in two .avi files and it wont let me merge them because the sound bitrate is different, how can i encode them with the same bitrate so i can merge them?

Youll have to Demux the audio from one of the files and re-encode it with the same bitrate as the other.

Try using CDeX if you have an mp3 file.
Or BeSweet if you have an AC3 file.

Life is but a dream...so wake me up already!!!

ok, i demuxed the first .AVI file into an mp3 file with VirtualDubMod, and then used CDex to convert it into an uncompressed .wav file, but when it did this it saved it as an invisible file! neither explorer nor CDex itself can find the new .wav file after the process is done, but the folder it was supposedly saved in says that there is a file of the correct size inside. Why is this happening?

Never heard of that happening before...

Have you tried selecting to show all hidden files and folders in your folder options?

Well, Im running XP at home, so the process would be like this.

OPen up the folder which should contain the audio.

Tools-->Folder Options-->View Tab--->Select the show folders and hidden files box if its not selected.
