Very unlikely.

But still, there is a chance it could work

Well, thinking about it, Sony will know about Pandora battery, do you think they would release the Slim knowing that no matter what they do people will always be able to downgrade?

Its not been shipped out yet (as far as i am aware). So changing how they work shouldnt be too hard.

No, firmware can in no way affect the actual functioning of the PSP, so the Pandora battery would work regardless of firmware. There may however be a different way in how the battery works, so the Pandora battery can't access flash any more.

there might be a higher chance then u guys think of it at the moment. i read that the slim psp's battery can fit in a fat psp u need to just put something to hold it at the bottom to provide for the missing space. so you could just modify the slim battery in the fat psp and then put it in the slim and maybe get it to work. good idea but maybe liuke 5% chance itll work sony would do anything to sell games and other stuff and take over the world! im not even sure if the slim can go to 1.50 tho... what u guys think?

I want to buy the original PSP in white. Can ALL current PSPs be downgraded? Even japanese ones?

@marlino23 - Yes, firmware is firmware, the slim will be able to run 1.50. Modifying the new battery... possibly, probably not.

@Shinraboy - Yes, it's a universal downgrader.

I think that Pandora will work for the slim, because it came out about a week ago right. Well, those Slims were designed and manufactured way before then. Lets hope though.

Yea, that's true, they said that was the main reason for releasing it now on the Noobz site. They didn't want to, but felt they had to.

i heard that too and i also heard that it was being sold for extremly dmb and high prices. prices that were so high only noobz or dumb@$$es would but... but thats really unfortunate that it got leaked. i was gonna rent the slim just to mess with its battery but umm... doesnt look like that'll be happening. but come on if it was being sold for that high a price, who would buy it... :S

There are now multiple reports that Pandora's battery does not work on the new PSP Slim & Lite and there is absolutely no response from the MSD. It seems as if Sony has well and truly blocked it in their new firmware v3.6 which will ship on every new PSP Slim & Lite

Could be a easy workaround though, adjusting there battery creator routine to work with the new battery. And flash?
