I was wondering if i were to burn a game if it had to be on a blank cd or a blank dvd. My Dvd burner just came in the mail today but i forgot to get some blank dvds so i only have blank cds right now. Can i burn Guitar Hero II on a blank cd or does it have to be a dvd? Also is there a list that shows which games are cd and which r dvds?

Guitar here is originally a DVD-ROM so it must be burned to DVD. Though there is a method for burning dvd games to cd. It is often troublesome as you have to rip stuff out of the game in question and not all games allow this.

As for the lists of ps2 games

PS2 DVD9 (double layer) games

PS2 CD-ROM games

Then everything else is DVD5 (single layer)

youll neen a few programs:
1.winrar - to extract the iso from the rar files that you get
2.rebuilding tools - some games need to be rebuilt look here for the list of games that need to be rebuilt.
3.dvd burning program (nero,alchol 120%)
4.blank dvd-r's

Sick, my excel spreadsheet is being used!

It is too much of a hassle to convert DVD games to CD-games, its not worth it.

I highly suggest you get some blank dvd-r's, a 50 back you might be able to get it as low as 10 bucks depending on your store, so shop around!

Those are the kind that I use and they have yet to fail me. Just make sure you burn at low speeds. I always burn at 4X. Some systems can read if burn at 16X but it seems they have a harder time.
