i have norton antivirus that came with my computer...it probably came with a firewall but im not sure. Im always firewalled and i get the slowest connections.
How do i shut it off to get faster connections?

When onet tells you its firewalled, this is a fancy way of saying your UDP ports have not been forwarded. Do you get those properlems with the Norton disabled? Are you running ICF? A router? If so you will prolly have to config them.

I am firewalled and my router has the firewall.
My router is a "NETGEAR Cable/DSL Web Safe Router Gateway" Model RP614 4-Port Cable/DSL Router with 10/100 Mbps Switch
the Linksys site http://192.168.1.1 (from http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/55099) doesn't work for me cuz i don't have a Linksys router. how do i config my NETGEAR router it so it disables it?
