How to make an exact DVD copy.

This is a guide to make an exact copy of a regular or dual layer DVD.
You will need some blank DVDs and a DVD burner. Put a movie in your DVD and see what size it is. If it is under 4.7 you can use a regular DVD, if it is bigger than 4.7 you will need dual layer. Most newer movies are dual layer.
You will also need the following free programs:
Ripit4me
DVD Decryptor
IMGburn

After you have downloaded and installed the software you will need to change a few things.
Open DVD Decryptor, select tools, and settings.

Under general, make sure the box for ?check for structure protection? is unchecked.

You can close DVD Decryptor now. You will never have to open it again; do not uninstall it because Ripit4me uses it. Place a movie into your DVD drive.
Open Ripit4me and go under "Logs/Settings" and select preferences.

Under preferences there are a few things to look at. under "rip mode" make sure it says ISO. Under "Save logs after rip" you can set it to save but they are unimportant so i hit never. Under "Run DVD Shrink after rip" make sure it is unchecked. Under "Base path for target rips" you can select where you want the movie file copied on your computer. After you have done the above hit OK at the bottom left.

Click the giant "1-Click Mode" button.

This screen will pop up.
Under ?Target directory for ISO file? make sure this is where you want the movie saved.
Under ?Ripping settings? you need to make sure it says ISO.
Click next at the bottom and the movie will be ripped from the disc.

Here is what it looks like when it is ripping.

After it finishes ripping, go into the directory you selected and you will see two files. I used pirates of the Caribbean to demonstrate. The file on the left is the movie and the file on the right is a file telling your burning software how to burn the movie to disc. After you you?re your movie onto a disc delete these two files.

Remove the movie you ripped and place a blank DVD into your burner. Open IMGBurn and click the button that is circled in red.

This is what will pop up. Always select the second file. It is the small one that tells the burner how to burn the movie.

When you select the file you will be brought here. All you have to do now is push the highlighted button at the bottom.

When it is finished you will have a perfect copy of your movie. It will play in any DVD player you have.
