I've been able to correctly backup my PS2 Legacy of Kain: Defiance, but when I play it on Playstation 2, it won't show the doors. And then if you try to go through where the door should be, it says loading again, and brings you right back to where you started. The disk also takes a long time to load when I first load the game. I've used both Alcohol 120% and Nero burning rom to burn my disks. I use 16x Verbatim DVD-R and Maxell DVD-R. I burn at 8x speed. I've also tried slowing the speed down to 6x. I've tried 4 times to reburn the game, and each time you can't see the doors, they come up light blue in color. Otherwise, the rest of the game is fine. But, it's not playable if you can't go through doors when you're suppose to. I've also had this same problem with Tomb Raider: Anniversary. Anyone have a similiar problem or know a solution.
Thanks

Have you tried rebuilding the game? Also what are the media codes of the Verbatim you have? Download and install ImgBurn and put in the Verbatim and look at the right hand side. What is the media ID code?

Thanks for the help. I rebuilt both games, and they work fine now. I thought a game had to be bigger than a 4.7GB in order to rebuild, but it really doesnt matter the size. I guess the end result is rebuilding shrinks the game when there is dummy files involved on the disk.

So there are times then when a game that is less than 4.7GB you have to rebuild to make it work, is that correct, like this instance here?

Did you do the Gnie Xpert way of rebuilding to make it work?
