Hey all, new to these boards... So I downloaded a PSX game and while it was busy, I installed Devhook and got the things neccisary to run it. But to my suprise it was already an EBOOT.PBP and I didn't even need Devhook, it just ran straight from my Game folder. Why is this? I'm confused... I only just installed 3.40 OE-A for the very first time yesterday and there is so much to take in. It's really hard to understand everything...

You don't need to run DevHook anymore since you have a CFW installed.

You can play PSP ISO/CSO games from MS as well. As long as the game only requires 3.40 or below firmware to run it. Any game that requires firmware above 3.40 will not work.

You can also put Emulators in the GAME150 folder and run them.

hmm. thanks but i'm still a little lost. what is it about cfw that runs psx games? does that mean i could just rip my origionals and run them no problem? if they're in the right format of course.

It just does.

Yes you can rip your PSX games and convert them to play on PSP.

not to drag this on any longer than it needs to but when did this come about? i always knew you could emulate psx games but i never knew there was complete compatability.
