New update with MetPrime3 = Scarface doesn't work?!?

After a recent update less than a month ago (i think it was before metroid prime 3's update) i couldnt play a backup of Scarface that i had made. prior to the update it worked flawlessly. i burned a brand new backup of the same image today and tested it but it still wont work. my other backups still work, (like metroid prime 3) but scarface doesnt. is anyone having similar problems or perhaps a solution for me?? Thanks in advance!
(I have an american wii with an updated wiikey. im positive that its soldered properly, so dont bother asking that. also the scarface image is american aswell.)
