Can I use dual layer discs?

Can anyone tell me how likely my burning software (Ulead Video Studio 11 Standard), computer DVD drive/burner (Philips DVD+-RW DVD8631 GD30), and DVD player (Oppo DV-981HD) are able to handle dual layer DVD's? These are all pretty recent, so I'm guessing I'll be OK, just wanted some kind of confirmation if possible. :-)

Says the burner can handle the DVD+RDL not the DVD-RDL

If you want to insure software burns a DL disc, use ImgBurn.
