What about ripping it with DVD Decrypter?

I haven't tried these yet so I'm only guessing.

All the bruning info you need to start is here: http://www.dvdrhelp.com/forum/userguides/141024.php#dvd9dvd2one

IMHO....DVD Decrypter - DVD Shrink and BurnatOnce will usually copy anything. DVDXcopy (Gold -Platinum etc) will not do a good a job as the three freebies..

I've found the problem and it's embarassing..

dvd decrypter reports that the dvd drive needs to be set to region 1..I forgot i ordered it on an import..I feel a right tit....

I was thinking it was a setting or something, "Raiders" was the first DVD-R I ever burned. I used DVDShrink and it came out fine.

This isn't stupid. Stupid would be if you were putting in the DVD upside down... er, unless it's a flipper! ;-)
