I recently upgraded to Vista which seemed to be working fine until I needed to play some .mov files from DVD's that had been burned from my previous XP. These mov files worked fine on XP and were watchable from the disk so no problems there.

I open the movie in quicktime 7.2 on vista and it starts off playing fine until there is movement, at which point the movie becomes distorted. There are parts of the video still there that appeared on screen minutes ago.

The next problem is when I move the track bar to skip through the movie to check if the quality is same throughout i get an error message telling me the buffer is overrun.

I have checked for viruses/spyware and such with Norton
The computer is less than a week old
Active X controls installed are those for Flash
I use Firefox

Any other questions feel free to ask.

Thanks for the help I receive in advance
Ash
