my jpn wii is semi-bricked. i have a japanese game called dragon quest. i'm not sure if it contains a 2.2j update firmware coming with it but one of our forum members told me it does contain a 2.2j update. when i run the game on my jpn wii, nothing appears!!
does that means that the game doesnt contain an update or my wii is already 2.2j?
does anybody here know any other game that contains an update?
help me please

When you say nothing appears do you mean the game won't load?
If you have a japan wii then running a 2.2j firmware update isn't going to brick you're wii, it's only if you run an update from a different region disk.

you didnt understand me.
the game loads and works fine. the problem is that when i load it, no message appears saying that you need to update your firmware!

the problem is that i need somebody to confirm for me if that game contains a 2.2j update with it or not.
second, i need somebody to help me finding a japanese game that has a firmware 2.2j update.

According to the wikipedia compatibility list that game has a 2.2j update. Can you check the version in the wii settings menu, or is that part bricked? Also what game bricked you're wii, I may be able to tell you what version you're wii is if I know what version bricked you're wii.

i have these games: 1- mario pary 8
2- mario strikers
3- resident evil 4
4- zelda twilight princess
5- mortal kombat
6- surfs up
and all are ntsc - usa.
i think that either mario party 8 or mario strikers semi - bricked my jpn wii.
according to wikipedia compatibility, if your wii firmware is less than 2.2j and you loaded mario party 8 , you will brick your wii.
i'm pretty sure it's mario party wich semi - bricked my jpn wii because it was the first game loaded on my wii.

So it sounds like the 2.2U firmware upgrade on Mario Party bricked you're wii. You're going to need a 3.0J firmware update to fix it. I did a quick search but couldn't find any games with this update. I don't think they've released any yet, but they should soon.
