Sorry if this question has been answered, but I have checked around and I can't find a definitive answer(s) on what DL DVD burner I should get to back up my games. Please help me on this. Thanks a lot

Try to find a Pioneer 111D. Thats what I have and haven't had a single coaster, just make sure your using verbatim too! Hope this helps.

Thanks, that's the only one I've heard about anywhere else. The only problem is I can't find an external one anywhere. The only model I can find is the 112D. Does that one work just as well?

Yeah it works its just a better version than 111D.But any DL Burner should work just as good,I use a Sony Dru and have had no problems with it

Thanks, this really helps. One last thing, just because I don't want to sink a bunch of money (college budget) into this and not have it work. Do you think this burner would work alright? I've seen some stuff about bitsetting, and I'm not too sure if this has it or not. I modded my 360 about a year ago and havent flashed the firmware since b/c I don't have the tools for it. Thanks again for all the help, I'd be lost otherwise

Here's the product link:

Should work great,as for bitsetting I dont have a clue. When I burn my backups I just add the PFI,DMI,and Bin file,I know people say to use bitsettings but im not worried about it.As long as my backups work and im not banned from Live im good

personally, I have two completely different brands of burners (I bought them before getting into this) One is a samsung SH-S162 and the other is a benq. They both work fine for writing games, as I have never had any problems with either of them. Additionally, if you really want the pioneer 111d and you are worried about it being internal and you need external, why not get a dvd enclosure? Here is a link to one I have actually purchased: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16817113012

Hope this helps
