I backed up carnival games and the game is shown in the box at the top left of the wii menu i click on it and it starts to load then i get an error messege. I have an ntsc with wiikey and burning at 2.4x on ridata +r. Does anyone have suggestions? Is it crappy media or does it have to be -r media. I have backed up games on the wii before on the wii and they have worked.

my advice is don't use dvd+r's. Use dvd-r's instead. There have been many people that have reported issues with dvd+r's and there are many that will tell you that + is better yadda yadda yadda. What really matters to be honest with you is the quality of the media, not so much on the format. I would try Sony brand DVD-R's as I have NEVER had a bad disc with these.
