Having problems getting stranglehold to play on my ixtreme 1.2 hitatchi, gets to the white screen with bink video etc on then pops up with a dirty disc error.
have tried infiniti 360s, verbatims, bulkpaq and hp dvds so it cant be the media. have made the image 2 times from my original, so what am i doing wrong?

made countless other burns, 99% being successful

I'd start with making sure the burners firmware is up to date. Also, HP is known for using low quality burners in both their pc's and laptop's. You may be better off with a new burner.
I got to mention, I use a Pioneer 111, CCD at 4x, and Verb's only and have had zero problems with any of my other backups. Stranglehold has frozen momentarily a few times while loading and during gameplay on me. Not to where I've had to restart the 360, but to where it seems the console is struggling to read the media.
So there may be a problem with the game itself (like what's been reported with Bioshock and PS3's Warhawk). And if you're not getting a high quality burn from your burner, it may be multipling the problem.
