I was running 1.50 with devhook and i think i pulled out my memorystick while devhook was running. After that my psp wont run my backed up games but umds work fine. I upgraded to 3.40 le and the games will go to the psp screen and then it will go black. When i run the backed up version of grand theft auto vcs it says insert the umd (luckly i actually own it). What sis i do to my psp? I changed the settings and disabled no umd and all that and it still doesnt work. what should i do?

You need a UMD in the bay when playing ISO/CSO files unless you go into recovery and enable NO UMD option. But even then 3.40 OE/LE is not compatible with every ISO/CSO with this option so you may still need a UMD in the Bay.

Update to 3.52m33 then after that install update 4 then it should work fine. But remember that you have to install 3.52m33 first then if you want the 4th update after you will have 3.52m33

If you upgraded to 3.52M33-4 without originally upgrading to 3.52 M33 then you will run into problems.

What firmware where you at previous?

So to make it clear. You went from 1.5 or your previous CFW straight to the 3.52 M33-4 firmware? (Without going to 3.52 M33 first)

nooooo, i know how to use custom firmwares, i went 1.50 w dh > 3.40 Le > 3.52 m33 > 3.52 m33 v2 > 3.52 m33 v 3 > 3.52 m33 v4. The problem happened when i was running 1.5 with devhook and i pulled the memorystick out while devhook was running

The only thing I can think of is what 07anto07 said. Downgrade to 1.50 then upgrade to 3.52 M33-4 again. Something evidently got screwed up.

All you need is this Recovery folder.

Extract the RECOVERY folder and place it in the ms0:/PSP/GAME folder.

So the directory would look like: ms0:/PSP/GAME/RECOVERY

Now go into recovery mode (Hold R button down while turning on PSP) and choose RUN PROGRAM AT /PSP/GAME/RECOVERY/EBOOT.PBP

Now follow the on screen instructions to downgrade back to 1.50

You should get a blue screen with a bunch of text on it. Just press O and then the PSP will reboot and you will need to reset your settings.

Now upgrade to 3.52 M33 again (Make sure you use the Kxploitpatcher since your at 1.50) then run the M33CREATOR. When your at 3.52 M33 just use the M33-4 update to finish.

the only thing i can think of is restore default settings via system settings on psp or use the 150 recovery described above and downgrade it back to 150 or if you are already on 1.50 upgrade to a custom fw
