Problem backing up Winning Eleven: Pro Evolution Soccer 2007

This one is really boggling my mind. I ripped the ISO straight to my hard drive using DVD Decrypter, rebuilt the ISO using basically the steps outlined here, which is a tried and true method I've used for many games before, and burned using Image Burn. However, I continue to get either Disc Read Errors or "Please Insert a PlayStation or PlayStation 2 format disc" errors when attempting to load the game in my modchipped PS2. I know it's not the game or the chip, because my backup copy of Mercenaries loads fine. I've burned multiple times with two different types of DVDs at this point (Fujifilm DVD-Rs and Sony DVD+Rs), and continue to get the same result, without any errors popping up during the burns, either.

Anyone have any clue what could be causing this?

How about you try this different method of rebuilding with Gnie Xpert...

Didn't help at all, and frankly the way I was rebuilding them before is actually much quicker, simpler, and less HD space consuming.
