Hi, i have recently brought a new wifi wireless usb adapter and i need help setting it up>
Here is the info:
- i got 2MB broadband
- i dont have a wireless modem only lots of cables to my computer and phone line
- the wifi adapter supports 54mps rates
What i really need help with is setting up my wifi adapter!!!
Well your modem should be connected to your router using the ethernet or USB cable depending on what cable your router and modem supports. Sometimes, there's a 2 in 1 modem: router and modem. If that is not your case then you need a router and a modem. Your PSP will scan the nearest working router and then will connect.

^Err... No.
@indiek
What type of wireless USB adapter is it? Wi-Fi Link? Wi-Fi Max?
Either way, you should just install whatever disk came with it before you hook it up to your computer, and then plug the adapter into your computer.
Make sure you have something similar to this on your adapter's software:
Wireless Mode: 802.11b+g Mixed Mode
Channel: 6
SSID: *This is whatever you want your connection to be called, mine is WiFi553*
If you want to add a password, then enable WEP and change the password--for testing, I don't recommend doing this.
After it's on your computer, you should be ready to go. Just go to your PSP and click on Network Settings, click on Infrastructure Mode, Click on New Connection, Click on Scan (Make sure your Wi-Fi switch is on--the one that's on the left side of your PSP). Your PSP should automatically find your connection. Again, mine was WiFi553, but it'll be whatever you set it up to be on the computer.
After this clicking on your connection, push right. Then click on None. On address settings, click on Easy. Under connection name, put whatever you want; I kept it what it was. Push right twice until you get to a screen that tells you to push the x button to save settings--push x. Then click on Test Connection to see if it's working.
