hi, i was just wondering is there a psp equivelent of the R4 that will allow me to play psp roms on the psp?

Oh right, you mean custom firmware, nah i'm just joking.

But yea... PSPs have custom firmware which allows you to play ISOs and CSOs from memory stick (I guess you could call them ROMs if you really want). But that's just the tip if it, like DS the PSP can play homebrew, along with emulators for GBC/A, S/NES, N64, Genesis, the list goes on. You can also totally customise themes and boot screens, plugins for cheats, music in games, screenshots etc.

Also the ability to rip PSP games off UMD onto your PC or mem card, and other stuff.

The most recent custom firmware is 3.52 M33-4, you can get this by downgrading to 1.50, then up.

so i dl the application then i put it in the same memory stick as the roms to make the roms work?

Maybe you should read up about PSPs and custom firmware, and PSP homebrew, it'll help you understand how to get where you want to be.

Firstly, call psp games ISOs, it's easier for me to understand :) Most people only use the term "roms" for old games that are emulated.

Secondly, what firmware are you on? It all comes down to firmware in the end with softmodding a PSP.

PSP downgraders are all made for specific firmwares, apart from the Pandora battery (But i won't tell you about that unless you need it).
