i need to know how to put a custom XMB and background on my 1.50 psp. ive seen so many guides but no luck

first thing first, there is no way of putting a custom XMB in a 1.50 official sony firmare. it has to be custom. you must upgrade to either OE or m33. any of those would work for custom firmware.

i did tho. i have a official sony 1.50 firmware and it put it on using psp filer, works but every time i scroll to network it freezes. now i need to know how to change the back ground to a custom one? do i need to upgrade? any help?

Are you planning to keep 1.50? Because upgrading to a custom firmware like OE or M33 will make things easier for you and not to mention is an updated version :)

i upgraded to 3.03 OE-C and its alot better;) thax but one more question? when i formatted my memory stick (in 3.03 OE-C) and when i pulled it up in usb mode and it had the PICTURE MUSIC and VIDEO folders in the root. is this normal?

yeah. just move them in the PSP folder. not the PICTURE or the MOVIE folder. just the music folder. and just make a new folder and name it to PHOTO.
