Hello there! I'm on my 2nd original wiikey. The first one stop working after 3 months, so I got it replaced. One thing that I'm noticied is that the wii drive works like crazy to read backup games, the noise is very loud, and really seems to be going back and forward all the time. Most games its not noticiable, but MP3 and GodFather gives me the creeps. I had a GC with Qoob that just died after few months of life. I'm worried with that. Does it happens to anyone else? BTW I'm using SonyDVD-R with Accucore, burning at 4x, can't burn it slower (ImageBurn).
I have yet to experience this as well I havent heard of many others either, The wii will definatly make noise but nothing more noticable than usual, the Nintendo lasers are generally very picky in what they read and if its only happening with a few games I would suggest re-burning them, the reason I state this is because it almost sounds as if the wii is having troubles reading the disc and having to work harder to do so, also re-burn those same games onto a different type of media and see what the results are.
What kind of media are you using? I'm testing this Sony and for MP3 its better than multilaser dvd+r (with booktype change enabled). I've read so many different opinions, which is better dvd+r ou dvd-r? Changing booktype helps? Regards
