What could be my problem? When i click on the video, trying to play it, my computer freezes, or more like the explorer.exe freezes. I have the newest codecs and i already tried theFFDShow but nothing seems to help.

Here is what GSpot says:

DirectShow claims to be able to play the file. The following combination of filters were used:

{AVI Splitter} (Splitter)

{XviD MPEG-4 Video Decoder} (Video Decoder)
{Video Renderer} (Video Renderer)

{MPEG Layer-3 Decoder} (Audio Decoder)
{Default DirectSound Device} (Audio Renderer)

And the other codec stuff:

Audio Format:
Code: 0x0055
Name: WAVE_FORMAT_MPEGLAYER3 (MP3)
Vendor: ISO/MPEG

The following codecs all claim to be capable of processing this format:

--> {Fraunhofer IIS MPEG Layer-3 Codec (advanced)}
--> {MPEG Layer-3 Decoder}
{Nero Audio Decoder 2}

DirectShow was also able to find a codec to render it - the sound for this media clip should work fine.

See the DirectShow Render details for more info.

The following codecs all claim to be capable of processing this format:

--> {Xvid MPEG-4 Codec}
--> {DivX Decoder Filter}
--> {DivX Decoder Filter}
--> {XviD MPEG-4 Video Decoder}

DirectShow is apparently able to play the file as well (see "DirectShow Render", below),

VLC media player plays the file tho, but well, it plays almost anything.
I tried to burn this file on DVD, with DVD Santa but it just crashes.

All the other videos work just fine. This is really annoying so any help is appreciated :)

Assuming XviD was uninstalled before installing the latest version.

Drag the video into VirtualDub and if it accepts it, click 'Video' and 'Scan Video Stream For Errors'.
Then Click 'Video' > 'Direct Stream Copy'
Click 'File' and save with new name.

Thanks attar.

I downloaded VirtualDub and the first error after opening the file was this:

I continued with you instructions step by step and saved the file as AVI (i wasnt sure which "save as" i was suppose to use cause Virtual Dub was new prog for me) but after it was finished, the file stil acted the same way, explorer freezed.

After this i opened the new file and tried to play it in VirtualDub and got a new error:

So, there seems to be a problem with the audio.

Oh and BTW, i recently formated and installed all needed video codecs, so the XviD codec got installed on to a fresh Windows.

Did GSpot indicate that the audio codec was installed?

Yes it bloody well did and thats why i find this weird. I work with music and thats why the audio codecs should be fine. Never had problems with that.
This is what GSpot said:

--> {MPEG Layer-3 Decoder}
{Nero Audio Decoder 2}

The ACM thing relates somehow to LAME MP3 encoder and i was wondering if this video is encoded using that and because i dont have it, it doesnt work.

...but, later i found out that my family's other PC played this file and that one sure does not have a LAME codec (what ever it is called). Only differece in that PC is that the VLC player is on default, and i have WinAmp.

This is doing my head in, grrrrrrrrr.

Lame MP3 codec
http://users.tpg.com.au/mtam/install_lame.htm

VLC has it's own decoders - independent of the PC.

Thanks again, but that didnt help.

I just opened the original file to VirtualDub and got this message:

[!] AVI: Variable bitrate (VBR) audio detected. VBR audio in AVI is
non-standard and you may encounter sync errors up to 3938ms when
attempting to extract WAV files or processing the audio in Direct Stream
Copy mode. Full Processing mode is recommended to decompress or recompress
the audio. (bitrate: 122.6 ± 14.7 kbps)

I think i will give up on this now :/

That's not an error.It's just saying that the audio is VBR.
It just means that VirtualDub would prefer that when you save the file, you recompress the audio (Lame mp3?) as CBR.
eg 48000 128 CBR Stereo.

Does it not play in VDub?
