So I have always backed up my own games with the old firmware, as well with this new firmware which is the iXtreme.
Games always worked on the old firmware, but most did not on the new one because of the whole having to be stealth thing. So I have downloaded several games, and using XDVDMulleter I know they are stealth. However, some games do not play at all, saying "unplayable disc" when I put it in my 360, and other say that 75% of the time, but the other 25% of the time they work fine... I don't understand what I'm doing wrong.
According to XDVDMulleter they are all stealth, I change the book-type, I burn it at 2X using CloneCD and there just not working.
I was using FujiFilmDVD+R DLs, and some people told me it was the media, so i changed it over to Memorex DVD+R DLs. The guy at Future Shop said they were some of the best out there, so I went with them, but I still have the same problem.
Some of the games that are doing this are Smackdown Vs. Raw 2007 (Never works anymore), The Darkness (Usually works), and Tiger Woods 08 (First game using the Memorex discs, freshly downloaded from this website, Ixtreme compatible and it has not worked once).
Many will argue that Memorex are just fine. But the problem is Memorex doesn't make it's own media. They buy it from a different vendors and it's labeled as Memorex. And the majority of those vendors make crap media. So, when you walk into xxxmart and pick up a spindle of Memorex, you don't really know if it's from a good mfg. or not.

Also, what many don't realize is that just becaues the 360 will play cheap media, that doesn't mean all is fine. The dye in cheap media breaks down quicker than quality media. The results are exactly what you are having now. Unplayable media. Plus you are over working the 360's laser using cheap media. So it's a double shot... you've got games you'll need to reburn and you're killing your laser.
So, as a result of you wanting to save .30 - .40 cents per disc by not using Verb.'s, you'll actually spend twice as much as you paid for the cheap media by now having to reburn the games plus you'll soon (if not already) have to replace your 360's laser.
