80020321 error - how do i access recovery mode

im trying to repair a friends sons psp.but now need your help.it is unable to read any umd game.so i downgraded to 1.50 then put 3.40 oea on so he could at least play isos .turned off auto start for umd but still getting this 80020321 error,any ideas ive heard about recovery mode but dont know how to get into it

When you turn the psp on, hold the R button.

Do you have custom firmware installed to the PSP?

What kind of PSP do you have FAT/SLIM?

What firmware is on the PSP?

Go to System Settings then System information and it is under System Software.

You have 2 options.

1) Find someone that has a custom firmware PSP to create the Universal Unbricker V3 + Pandora Battery for you to install custom firmware to the PSP using this guide HERE.

2) If you only have access to your official firmware PSP go HERE and follow this guide. You will either need to buy a Datel Tool Battery or Hardmod your Battery to a Pandora battery if it is compatible to do so.

do you have the thing u mentioned in 1) ?
