hey guys, i need some help. i've never encountered this problem before. while installing windows xp pro, my computer locked up on the install. it comes up with an error message, saying it can't find the catalogs file(sic)and comes up with a fatal error. it then reboots, starting at the place the install stopped and hits the fatal error all over again. i can't break the loop!!! i've got multiple drives on the computer but even using f8 won't help! any suggestions?

Yeah I have a suggestion, and a question...

It seems that your may have a bad copy of XP as it keeps getting stuck at the same point every time. Is this the first time this has ever happened with that copy of XP?
