How do I play ISO's on a PSP with 2.01 firmware?

Hi,
I have never really looked into hacking a psp before, but was on a torrent site and saw there were tons of PSP iso's. My psp is firmware version 2.01, would I upgrade or downgrade it and how would I go about doing this? Also how do you actually run the ISO's?

ok if you upgrade to sony 2.71 find a 2.71 downgrader on google,downgrade to 1.50 using the 2.71 downgrader then you can install a custo firmware like 3.52m33

You don't need any game if you update to 2.71 and use the downgrader. Just make sure you find out if you have a TA-82 or higher motherboard or not.
To find out if you have a TA-82 or higher motherboard you will need to take a look inside the UMD Bay of the PSP. Look at the top right hand corner and see if there is text there. If there is then you have a TA board if there is nothing there then you don't.
HERE is a guide for further info.
Check out the 2.71 downgrader guide that corresponds with your motherboard.

I have firmware 2.80 now, I updated >.< I have installed Eloader, but the downgrader I was trying to load kept saying 'save file corrupt' any ideas?

Why would you have updated to 2.80 when you had 2 of us say to update to 2.71?
Anyway you still can use a downgrader without using 1 of the GTA or Lumines game exploits. Why are you trying to use Eloader with the downgrader?
You need to stop and read up on this stuff before you brick your PSP then you will only have the Pandora Battery unbricker/downgrader method to use.

lol. Bricked mine last night. Ran the downgrader and it said 'error' restart PSP. I restarted and now the screen just stays black and the green light at the side goes on... oops! :P
Guess its buggered then? O=P

no it's not buggered lol,just get a pandora battery and magic memory stick,this will unbrick it for you and downgrade it at the same time

lol no need to double thread,you can either get a freind with a homebrew enabled psp (ie:1.50 or custom firmware) to make one for you,or you can buy one from ebay or if you from uk there are a few ppl on these forums that can make one for you

yeah! somebody help this dude out! and REALA! how in the hell are you so happy and calm about a brick!? First time i semi bricked, i nearly sh***** in my pants. Then i deleted flash0 and did s*** in my pants! Sold my brand new bricked psp on eBay! a couple months later comes c+d to the rescue! only if the came earlier! I say you just go on eBay and look for someone to unbrick for you. It's cheaper these days ever since pandoras batt. came out.
